Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. She made her debut in a Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. She starred in 1989 as Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Doovan played Charlotte as Taffin in 1988 and Rebecca Flannery starred in Major League II in 1994. Doody was approached by a photographer and started to model. She then developed her career as a commercial model. Doody strictly avoided glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. In 1985, following receiving notice from the casting directors of a James Bond new film, Doody took a small part in Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was named as one of the top 12 promising young Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. Doody was just aged 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond role. To date Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. A different early film played a tiny part in the film as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the television adaptation The Secret Garden. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, she played Sapsorrow along with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. Her first appearance was in the movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors that have played James Bond. Doody played the role in the British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. The actress later became Flannery the agent of Charlie Sheen and partner for Major League II. She was chosen to be the replacement for Cybill Shepherd, who was L'Oreal's first spokeswoman. Doody returned to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule part on the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. Doody was a co-star, along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody filmed a role in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. Doody was later a guest on RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project ended up being cancelled. In 2011 she began the first of two seasons on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. In November 2018 she was awarded the Almeria award for best film and was awarded a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
